The ARC Northern Chesapeake Region is a private, non-profit local chapter of The ARC of Maryland, whose mission is to improve the quality of life for adults and children with developmental disabilities in Harford and Cecil counties. Riparius Construction was selected to design-build a new 15,000 square foot addition and to renovate the existing 8,500 square foot facility with all major systems.
The scope of work included construction of a new structural steel frame, masonry and exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFS), a new hydraulic elevator, new mechanical and electrical system, complete wet and dry sprinkler systems, The facility houses offices, fully accessible restrooms, library, nursing and clinical services, meeting rooms for parents, computer training center, and a workforce and employee training center.
